you will need to create folders if you want to keep the cabs as backups, which i recommend. that way if you have to hard reset or flash a rom you don't have to use your computer to load up your programs again. when you click on the cab to install the program, it will create folders for the program on the device or sd card, whichever location you choose.

Your Activesync must not be loaded properly. I have never had a problem using Activesync. I started with the 6700, Pro, & now the Pro 2. I can Sync all three phones with my PC updating the Calendars, Contacts, Tasks & files.
Besides, who wants to remove the troublesome backcover to remove the SD card to put into the SD card reader. That sounds like to much work.
Trust me Syncing or Bluetooth is quicker and easier.
