I found that going into the Backlight settings and under "On battery power" unchecking "Turn off device if not used for:"
pressing OK, then going back in and re-enabling it has fixed the problem for me.

it happened to me the first time after i booted the phone, but other than that it hasn't occurred again. what have you installed?
