As I have said, those instruction DO NOT WORK on the Sprint Touch. The Sprint Touch uses .brn files as the icons, wheras other phones used .png. In assition, the bmptobrn converter at that forum does not work for the Sprint Touch, as the icons have strange lines through them.

Anyone know how to replace the icons on the Sprint Touch?
