A lot of us are thinking things like a coordinated launch, including updates for older phones (you know those ancient things we got in July) would be part of a campaign to make WinMo more relevant.

When iPhone and Blackberry gets an OS update the date is set and all the worldwide media covers it, and there is a 'buzz'. When WinMo updates, it trickles out over two years and is forgotten before there is enough market penetration to create an energy that media pays attention to.

The headlines around Toronto today? Not that there's this massive new OS refresh on Windows Phones. Nope. It's all about the fact that Bell and Telus are getting the iPhone next month.

We need to fix that.
