Well as long as your on WiFi at the Hotel and the person in the US has a skype account it would be completely free

Thanks - that situation is pretty straightforward.
But I'm wanting to know what happens if I want to call from Peru to a regular landline or cell phone line in the U.S. I understand I'll need Skype credit for that, but those rates are quite reasonable.
I just need to know if a Skype international call can be initiated from outside the U.S. and made to a line in the U.S. I know it works from the U.S. out, but not certain about initiating from outside the U.S. to a landline or cell phone line in the U.S.
