@twodomes: GoodThings2Life clarifies this really well below. This fix isn't intended to get rid of the phone keyboard where it was already intended to pop up e.g. in the date field of the calendar. It was supposed to help those who had somehow triggered this keyboard and couldn't get rid of it no matter what they switched to or tried to change. If you move off the date field in a calendar appointment and your proper Rhodium keyboard appears, then you DON'T have a problem. Sorry for not being clearer on this before now.
Thanks really need to go to GoodThings2Life and not me if this works. My original cab included another registry key:
HKLM\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Layouts\e001 0409
where I reset "Ime File" to "windowseT9ime.dll" and "Layout Text" to "eT9 IME".
I then added his "HKLM\SOFTWARE\Tegic\eT9\Ime" setting as well when he posted it earlier in this thread. That cab includes all of those changes.

Incidentally, this bug isn't as noticeable with T9 enabled, but it still exists. It's just a little more self-correcting in most cases.
