OK, so I played around with these speed tests a bit today.

Using IE on a Verizon TP2 with WinMo 6.1 while running TouchFlo. Following a MemMaid RAM Recliam run, nothing else running in the background and solidly in 3g with 3 signal bars showing. I ran three tests per service and found that each time, the second and third tests seemed to give a slightly higher, but consistant result with regards to that specific site (ie results were always exacly the same on the 2nd/3rd tests). So the results were:

778kbps, which I assume translates as kbit/sec? So half the speed of DSL Reports and less than 1/3 as mobilespeedtest.

Don't know why my results were so low yesterday, I only ran the program once and had a few other things going at the time, so who knows. But the bottom line seems to be, if your going to hang your hat on these results, pick one test site and stick with it for consistancy sake. Individually, readings remain consistant on each site, but when compared to each other, results are all across the board.

Just my experience.

I got 2000 kbps on www.mobilespeedtest.com that cant be right, right? I do get 4-5 bars tho
