While I can't speak directly to being compatible with a mac, the manual in the link I posted above, speaks to mounting the phone as a USB drive. When you plug the phone into a USB port, you click on settings, and mount as USB drive, or something like that. As long as the signature of the phone mimics that of a standard USB flash drive, you shouldn't have any issues. The android market also probably has a program to deal with Android-Mac connectivity.
