Sprint customers aren't knocking you off the network. If you are a Verizon customer, you get priority over a roaming Sprint customer. The same would be true if you roamed on Sprint's network, Sprint customers would have priority. Yes Verizon (as did Alltel) has roaming agreements with Sprint, that's no secret, Verizon does this to ensure you have the best coverage possible even when it might not be their network. As they further integrate in the Alltel towers and merge the technology you will find you are roaming less and less.
