SERO F&F 500 here, I couldn't get my beloved Pre, that I read precentral every day in hopes of. I can't get the Hero, so the Touch Pro 2 will be just as awesome of a replacement.

I just called and ordered from the special telesales and paid full price $449. They charged me $56 for taxes, but tax here is only 8.75%, so I better be getting some money back on taxes.

The guy even said he had heard the rumors about the price drop.

Rewind to yesterday evening, So I had tried negotiating with ecare to get a $70 renewal credit, but they said if I took that I couldn't upgrade my phone, I would lose my $150 credit. So I said I would renew if they offered me the TP2 for $199.

The ecare lady said call Telesales and reference this email. This is what she said

"Considering your loyalty I offer you the new HTC Touch Pro 2 for
$199.99. Once you activate a new handset on your account, please reply. We will apply the promised credit on your account to make the handset cost similar to the online price.

I have placed a note on the account stating the concern so that the
person assisting you will have a point of reference. Hence, the handset
cost to you $199.99"

Isn't that a weird email, she said 199 but then she says match the online price. Since she said 199.99 twice that negates her mention of matching the online price. RIGHT?!?!

Telesales agreed I should get a credit once I activate my phone, so we shall see. I will update you, if not i'm returning it.
