well, I gotta say a friend of mine (we both sold cell phones for years, him until just a few yrs ago) well he switched to verizon this spring and has had nothing but trouble. all the time I have trouble hearing him. his bill's always screwed up, they nailed him on data cap for his aircard >2k$.
i can still hear that pin drop on my sprint phones. lol

try changing the voice codecs, via epst. I'm not sure what all verizon/Tp2 supports, but I've been happy with mine set to SMV

in epst it's under CDMA Settings; EVRC=enable, Home Page=smv, Home Orig= smv, Roam Orig= smv
