Have you tried the icon set I use? A dark background is recommended (such as yours). I posted it earlier in the thread
here, just read my post about how it doesn't uninstall properly, but it sounds like you know about those types of cabs.
Also, like it says in my post, it installs the sprint TP slider, but you should be able to use any slider you like, as I was able to install the glass slider after the icon set. Hope this helps
