I'd never cover this phone's screen in soap and water. I think I'd rather risk the scratches, which in my experience with other HTC phones aren't that many or that noticeable if you carry it in an empty pocket all the time, even after years of use. As long as you're not carrying keys in the same pocket, you're really only talking about less than hair-fine scratches that are only visible in direct, bright light. I don't even really see the point of protecting the screen cosmetically when it's always going to be covered with a scratched up protector anyway that is probably also peeling around the corners and gathering pocket lint as well.

Enjoy Your Scratches Then. Me personaly, I paid to much for this device to be careless. And its not only about finger or pocket scratches, what if ya drop it and lands on rocks on the screen or etc.? Id sure rather have a screen protector on it that took the scratches other than my beautiful 3.6 inch display.
Ive had the same screen protector on for a month now and have 0 big scratches.
