How long do you need your backlight on for?
It's hardwired for 30 secs to save battery life.
I can make your a cab on Monday to overwrite this for you if you like.

v1.0, Installer Package (.zip) | 374.95 KB | 4821 downloads

Once installed go to the timer tab and make your adjustments.
