Those are typically signs of a bad flash. Next time you hard reset, don't install or customize anything until you make a pass through the device to ensure the basic features are working and all.
The Guide in my sig has some troubleshooting to try for ActiveSync failures, including much of what's been suggested. There are also instructions for editing your weather database manually, or you can download a file that I link to that has every US city in the database already - its a cab...simple stuff.

EDIT: ...also, when you install things like the Pimp Package and the Weather Database, I'm pretty sure you'll want to shut off TouchFlo before you do. Then turn it back on after the installation. Otherwise, you could end up with some of the symptoms you described - touchflo crashes. I'd hard reset and start from scratch.

I was afraid of that. Well I follow you guides all the time. I always shut of touch flo installing anything touchflo related.
I still cant understand why activesync is crashing.
