I can only assume that Sprint is waiting so late in the year to release the Diamond2/Whitestone if the above rumor is true because Verizon has an exclusivity agreement or the customized Win6.5 OS for it is not ready yet. If not, Verizon stands to benefit from new customers who want a keyboard-less Touch Pro2 as the Whitestone fits that bill. Right now, Verizon is selling the TP2 for far less than Sprint's or T-Mobile's version. As a consumer, availability and cost are important. If Sprint comes late to market behind AT&T and Verizon with a Touch Diamond2/Whitestone and at a higher price point, it stands to potentially loose customers. I have to give Sprint credit for having a great lineup of smartphones this year featuring almost all the major OS. I am starting to be stressed by so many good choices.
