Actually, yes. It doesn't seem like it, and most people won't see it, but there actually is a layer of film on the back of the screen protector that allows it to stick to the device's screen, and I have in fact screwed this up with too much soap.

Granted, this was on a Touch Pro original screen protector almost a year after I got the phone, but the soapy solution kinda tore away the film, destroying the screen protector. I think if you use a very small amount with a new screen protector, there shouldn't be any issues.
