I have the
leather TP2 case from Telus with a magnetic flap, and it does trigger the sensor and turn the device on when you remove it or insert it. I found that if I inserted it the opposite way i.e. face in and not out, it resolved the problem. However, I've heard comment that it depends upon the actual case whether this trick works or not.
