Re: What HTC and Verizon say about the FM Radio
In the Windows folder, you will also find BTFM, which opens the FM radio interface that is built in. (Bluetooth FM)
It would be nice to find out what Bluetooth chip is in there. However, my readings show that Qualcomm started developing the multi system on chip design in 2007. Which includes hybrid radios(both GSM&CDMA), FM, and Bluetooth. All in one chip. Hmm, sounds a little similar so far.
I'm sure someone, somewhere has or will disect one and hopefully spot some detailed markings on the chip. Or maybe, I should just ask HTC what Bluetooth chip and revision is sitting in their devices. That information is what will ultimately lead us to making our FM radio work, or will tell us flat out if there is FM radio ability at all!
