depends on the radio version u have on the phone now..i dunno if its the sme where u are but here in new zealand if i upgrade the radio i fall of the network and have to do a esn swap to get phone working again, so if you have a 3.XX.XX radio and u r not planning on upgrading the radio then acitvate it, but if you have a 1.XX.XX radio and to use custom (GPS) roms you will have to upgrade radio to a 3.XX.XX i would say wait until you have finished upgrade. In new zealand the vogue comes stock with WM6 and a 1.XX.XX radio
