had the same problem, connect the phone with your pc than cut an paste the pictures from the phone to the pc, delete the DCIM folder from the storage card, take a picture with the phone so another DCIM folder is formed and than move all your pictures back in the new DCIM folder. I found the solution in XDA Forums... its easier ... Go to application data / htc / htc album / cache and delete all the files in that folder... it holds all the thumbnail data.... then soft reset... itll generate new thumbnails and they will take a little longer to load the first time out... but they will display correctly... apparently it happens when you have too many thumbnails saving up...
