I'm in the same situation - pretty tech savvy in general (with a Palm TX for almost 4 years), but completely new to Windows Mobile.

For example, what about basic backup of data and OS? Does Windows Mobile contain tools to do this right up-front, included, or will 3rd party solutions be necessary? And if a 3rd party app is needed, what are the top ones?
