Re: Sprint HTC Hero Will Require An Everything Data Plan?
I remember over a year ago, when Sprint said that the Instinct would be the only device that would require a plan change.
I wrote on different sites that the Instinct would only be the First of many devices to require specific plans. Sprint said that the Instinct would be the only one.
Yeah, ok Sprint, whatever you say
EDIT:
The Data reason that Sprint gives for plan requirements does not make sense.
Many of us have Unlimited Data, so SPRINT, what is the REAL reason we have to switch plans in order to activate certain devices?
Or rather, Mr. Hesse, what is the REAL reason for requiring many of us to switch to a much more expensive plan, even though we, your customers, already have Plans with Unlimited Data?
I have elderly parents whom are on my plan. If I were to switch plans, I would not able to keep my parents on my plan because it would be too expensive to do so.
Maybe I can complain to the Federal Government as discrimination against the Elderly, or something like that.
Wait a minute, I don't think I even want the Hero, but if I do, I should have the choice to keep the plan I am on.
I will be dropping a line to SPRINT and Mr. Hesse in the near future regarding this topic.
The answer may be that the new devices are only able to be activated on EP due to the programming protocols that have been downloaded to those devices. Or some other hocus pocus excuse.
Hey, I may be surprised.
I won't know until I contact them.
