There is always a "but".

It's not so much the phone itself, as it is apple, the phone and it's operating system.

I've been using PDAs since the earliest Palm, I also had a crap tons of macintosh computers in my house (macintosh is now called mac for those of you who don't know) .

I've also owned a few 1G and 2G iphones and several ipods (including a ipod touch), only because I got them cheap, warrantied them out jailbroke them and unlocked them, then sold them to some sucker apple fanboi/girl for a profit.

If you are looking for a phone that is flashy and has a touchscreen and you want to conform to apple's demands, an iPhone is for you.

Now if you want a phone that you can:

Double as a PDA

Charge anywhere there is a USB B cable and a USB port

Has removable storage (not because you need more, but because it makes things easier and more functional)

Full keyboard

Tilting screen

Removable battery (Oh what? Why is that important, oh I didn't know that owning multiple batteries was against my phone manufacturer policy about their customers!)

Has a stylus (Why not use your fingers 100%? Because "your fingers are too fat" *Insert picture of overweight Homer Simpson trying to dial a phone number*

It's not "forbidden" to explore and manpulate the phone's files system

The iPhone is designed in a way that a 5yr old could use it, I'm sorry, I'm not 5 nor even 12yrs old, I don't need to drag my finger across the screen ever single time to do the simplist of tasks.

I'm sorry apple, I know that you guys got all trendy and expect your customers to buy your computers at a higer price simply because you have commercials with two people representing computers and the IBM is always inferior in some asinine way.

Still waiting fo that picture you were gonna send my a few years ago, I think I JUST got it.
More of a friendly debate now but yeah lets go through this one.

Double as a PDA (at what point does the apple iphone not do enough to be considred a Personal Digital Assitant?)
"A personal digital assistant (PDA) is a handheld computer, also known as a palmtop computer. Newer PDAs commonly have color screens and audio capabilities, enabling them to be used as mobile phones (smartphones), web browsers, or portable media players. Many PDAs can access the Internet, intranets or extranets via Wi-Fi, or Wireless Wide Area Networks (WWANs). Many PDAs employ touchscreen technology." Quoted from Wikipedia...

Has removable storage (not because you need more, but because it makes things easier and more functional)

Full keyboard
(These 2 have already been talked about in the above post)

It's not "forbidden" to explore and manpulate the phone's files system
(Like XDA and PPCGEEKS didnt receive nastygrams from Microsoft...)

(again my son 1 and a half can use touchflo3d......just because it delivers things in a different way doesnt make it a bad phone.)
