Not saying it doesn't cost money to develop a program or something isn't worth $20+ dollars but come on. I think someone is way more likely to pirate something when the developer is charging a lot. I think there is a great need for a mobile marketplace for windows. If I had quick access to tons of aps on my phone with most programs under $5 bucks. I would have no problem buying a few every month and wouldn't think twice. I just don't see why developers feel the need to charge so much for programs. Sell in quantity. It's like amazon selling DRM free music. I would rather just go there and pay a buck which is a fair price then try and mess around on limewire or whatever. I'm not gonna distribute it and so what if I burn it on a cd. I really hope they get the ap marketplace up and running and they put all this in one place. I hardly have any aps on my phone just cause it's pain in the *** to find programs I want, register and pay for them.
I would have to agree with you here. True, some apps do take quite a bit of work to develop, but I think they're losing business by having such high prices.
SWIM (someone who is not me) thinks Resco Explorer is an EXCELLENT file explorer, but it costs $30. SWIM knows this program has many features and uses it on a daily basis, but $30 is too much money for a phone app. SWIM would GLADLY pay $5 for the software and feel better because he's supporting the developers. In turn, many people would be willing to download the trial to see if they like it, and drop the $5 if they see it as a good tool for them.

Even if you offer a trial with you software, if the price is too high, people probably won't even try it.
