I've also run into this issue with the latest Coreplayer and WVD 1.6. Coreplayer just refuses to open, and the OS just sits there, frozen and unresponsive until a soft reset.
Fortunately, I found this newly "enhanced' version of
TCPMP by Tech1...which works for just about ALL my [porn] streaming needs. For shoutcast and other internet radio services, however, I prefer
Kinoma.
Oh, and of course I kept Coreplayer installed to playback all my locally stored media files, since it does so so well...even on a resource-hoggin-driver-lacking device like the TP2.
