Its a known problem with Gmail's imap implementation... google knows about it, and is working on the fix (since end of October
)
Plain text emails come in correctly. We all just found this same issue on the 6700 WM6 rom too. pop3 works right (but is pop3, which is so icky....)
Hang in there for the fix or get people to not email you html encoded mail
