I stuck with Alltel and I have to have the Touch Pro 2 [or I will die]. Can I flash a new ROM with an Alltel carrier cab and get it to work on the network?

My old phone is dying and I am not going to make it until Alltel finally gets this phone (if it does at all). Since the machine has 2 radios and WM 6.1 I can't see why setting it up the way I have my PPC 6800 would hurt but I really don't want to pay full freight and end up with a brick. Thoughts and help please? TYIA
