WTF Sprint?!?
So I understand that I am not entitled to anything with sprint, I understand all the debates that they provide me a service and I willingly pay for said service but I just do not understand how they can get away with one thing after they promise another.
It all started with a faulty keyboard...we all know that one. I go into my local corporate store and want it repaired. They tell me that they do not have the parts and that it would tak a week to get back. I work in IT, I am actually on-call 24x7 with that device, so a week is not acceptable for me, the store tells me that they could order me a touch pro 2 and have it replace the device on my account for no charge. I say "Great" how can we get that started...he attempts whatever he had to on his console to order it, and then comes back with I can not authorize this in the store, for this you need to call Sprint directly. I say ok and go on my way, now at this point I should have known this not to be true, but for lack of anything better to do I go ahead and call in when i get home.
The first (of Many) Account reps tell me that she has no problem setting up the direct replacement for my phone...tells me that she is going to get it started, that she needs more info, and then we get disconnected.
After the last two days and more account reps then I can remember, I have been told 2 times they could do a direct swap, 4 times they could price match but it would have to be escalated, then continually transfered to another department that tells me sorry we have no idea what you are talking about, or the call gets dropped again. They have 1 time set my account for disconnect, even though this is not what I asked, and twice told me that if I were to compare plans with Verizon, that I would come out ahead, even though I pay the exact same for my Sprint plan as I would for a new 2-yr contract with Verizon.
I understand that I have to pay for a new device, I am not trying to get a free ride, and honestly I was happy with the Touch Pro except for the now 5 times I have had it serviced. I just think that if you are going to do business against a competitor, that you too should be as competitive as you can be.
I know I do not have many posts, or a rep that makes me credible, I honestly am a forum lurker, looking for ROMS, and programs to enhance my everyday...in the last 10 years I have had no issues with Sprint, but I really have to say has customer service just gone out the window for them?
Just one mans rant, thought I would share since everyone on here posts what a great deal they got....I am reporting from the other side, the side that never complains, that takes in stride, and when I could really use some assistance, get racked over the coals.
