But you wouldn't have the same phone number as the TP2 has on Sprint/Verizon, would you? So to roam on U.S. GSM on a CDMA TP2 you'd have to have a seperate phone number tied to a SIM card, i.e. there's no way to roam on GSM in the states using your Verizon/Sprint phone number, or correct me if I'm wrong.
