I believe that the strip turns pink when it gets wet, but isn't is supposed to be solid white when new? I was just curious if maybe it also displays this pattern if it gets to hot? Can someone please explain exactly how these strips are supposed to work?

Thanks
It comes with a red "criss-cross" pattern on a white strip. This means its OK. If the whole strip turns red/pink then it got wet.
