Hmm, I occasionally have blue dot issues - I know I've pressed the thing, but instead of giving me the comma I asked for, it just goes back a space, very annoying. Also had the repeated keys, backspacing all those was really increasing the effort it took to send a text message.
Tried the fix, and while it didn't fix my blue dot, it does seem to have fixed the repetition! I'd thought a hardware problem would be the cause too, so great to see it's not my keyboard giving up the ghost. Thanks! One out of two down.
