After the backlight has timed out once, I cannot get it to wake up unless I open the keyboard. But from that point on, it seems to work as designed.
This was the case with the last energyrom as well. ANyone else seen this issue? Is there a fix? My problem is not knowing how to put the above into a search term that will reveal any usable results.

Sounds like your slider is on its way out... Are you having problems with the buttons too?
I was having the same problems and blamed the rom. After I flashed back to stock and was having the same problems, I had to come to terms that it was the hardware. I went to Sprint and they gave me a new phone.
