I must agree that is a bit odd... mines just randomly shows the battery icon and not time, I'll try resetting device see if same happens if perhaps it's a bug.

Edit: After a soft reset the time shows again lol mmm now can't get battery to show D:

edit 2: I triggered battery to show by only going to start menu and backing out and pressing on the upper right task bar and pressing on it again to make the task bar hide and battery icon stays ( by task bar i mean the small drop down menu lol ) then i press start again and back out of it and time comes out again :\
