What if sprint did the silly, half done looking touch flo theme because they knew that windows 6.5 was going to be released and they didn't want to waste time customizing it. You're pretty much right in some sense.... A little birdy told me that TP2 and D2 are officially getting 6.5 ROM's.... But one thing that will also come with the 6.5 ROM's is the HTC Sence interface along with some other add-ons. You're correct, that 2.1 Manila needs a little work to work perfectly on WM 6.5, and HTC has done what it needs to, to make sure their top of the line phones are prepare to keep the compatibility up.
