I recently started seeing a red wi-fi icon (attached image) in the task bar. According to the comm manager, the wifi is off, but yet, it still sees access points. It is real time (not cached), since the SSID's disappear when I turn off the access points. Question is, how do I really turn off the wifi, how do I get rid of the icon, and why is that happening? I've tried turning it off with the standard comm manager, the monster-wifi app that comes with the rom, and the HTC action menu. Both say it's off, but the icon remains. After a hard reset the icon is gone, and only shows up if I click on the wifi button in the HTC action menu. When I plug in the USB and use AS, the icon goes away - but reappears when I disconnect. Is this just a bug?
