Cool Re: TP2 Revolt against Sprint!

Has anyone tried calling Sprint and get a price match? I got the same price of a Motorola Q back when the 6700 came out. Then when the joystick finally broke insurance gave me a Mogul. Technically I've been out of contract for over a year now and I'm paying over $170 for service on two phones. I don't even have unlimited texting with that price either...

There's no way in hell, I'm paying $350 for a phone that isn't at it's full potential. I look at it this way, I'm paying AT&T prices and surprisingly getting less service from Sprint. When this phone comes out I'm shooting for $99 through retentions and I still want unlimited text for the price I'm paying. I may go as high as $199 since that's about the price of an iPhone, but failure to budge on Sprint's part, I just move on to AT&T and get an iPhone. Both phones have their advantages and disadvantages, jailbreaking makes everything sweeter.

While I agree we shouldn't gave HTC a hard earn dime for screwing us with the drivers, what real competition do they have right now? When the snapdragon and tegra versions come out then you can vote with your wallets, but by then Qualcomm will probably be giving away the drivers for free when their bottom line is hopefully crushed by competition.

If you want a new toy now, you'll just have to suck it up this year, and by next year hope for change. That and if XDA comes up with some 2d drivers to match the 3d ones floating around should make me feel less guilty with this purchase...
