Just thought I'd mention that I emailed Sprint Customer Service and told them that's it been less than a year since I bought the Diamond (pretty close though), but that I was having awful standby battery life. They said that batteries are covered under warranty for one year. They said I could go to a store or order online and simply send them a scan of the receipt and they'd credit me the purchase price. I ran to the Sprint store just now and the guy gave me a battery from a returned Diamond for free. He assured me it's working fine.
Either way, I might take Sprint up on the offer, though it looks like I have to order online since they were out at the store. I didn't see any Diamonds on sale either. Must be clearing out stock in advance of the Diamond2, or Hero, etc. Who knows, maybe I'll have a new phone in the next month or so (Sprint has me set up as a "Sprint Premier Customer" and so I'm eligible for an upgrade each year).
