I noticed that also. If you give it another 15 or so seconds it will process correctly though (at least for me it would). I believe what happens is that the phone is still booting up in the background and much like a normal computer, when it is first loading all your start-up programs it can be fairly unresponsive until it finishes it. It mentions somewhere that it can make emergancy calls even when locked. I was curious from a purely informational standpoint on how you can bypass the lock to make emergancy calls. I have attempted to bypass my own lock for it but haven't found it yet.
