its like a file transfer protocol between bluetooth devices, i used it alot to transfer stuff from my PC to my TP when i didn't have the cable around. and just cause its nice and convenient to just be able to transfer something without having to grab out the cable, especially if its nothing seriously like a 1mb file of some sort.
