I think he means that his buttons don't work and he wants to replace the contacts thats on the bottom of the screen(in the interface) with a Phone.

What Windows Version are you using and are you using standard UI or HTC home/etc?

aka those buttons are part of the UI..you can easily get a UI that replaces them like this:



I have not tested this UI myself, it just a UI ive seen that seems to be doing what you want
