It looks like it is only for a month. I would also guess if you have a credit card on file they will auto bill you.

SUBSCRIPTION TERMS AND CONDITIONS
1. Payment Information
By accepting these standard terms, you authorize Handango to automatically bill the charge card you have provided until you cancel this subscription. You are billed according to the "Billing Policies" described below. All refund requests must comply with Handango's Refund Policy (located on Handango.com). In conjunction with this policy, you may cancel this subscription at any time, but this refund will not be applicable to any remaining portion of your subscription fees, including any minimum commitments, already billed to your account. You agree to provide Handango with valid, accurate and up-to-date credit card and contact information. Failure to comply may result in the immediate termination of this subscription. You agree to notify Handango regarding any billing issues or disputes within 90 days after they have been charged. If any issues or disputes are not brought to Handango's attention within this term, you waive your right to dispute them.
2. Billing Policies
If you purchase a monthly subscription, your credit card will be charged at the time of purchase for your first month of use. After this initial payment, your credit card will be automatically charged on the same day the subsequent month for the use of this application, until you cancel your subscription.
