Yea, I know it can get frustrating when your phone isn't running like you want it to and it seems no one's giving you a straight answer to your question. I've been there...

In some previous versions, deck did have the battery in the taskbar, but it's really important to him to be true to the stock when he builds a rom. So, since WinMo 6.5 has clock in the taskbar, he decided to let it ride that way and let the user customize the phone how they like. Like in his beta6, I thought the slider icons were 3rd party, cuz in the videos I'd seen of manila 2.5 there were no colorful icons, but he clarified that the icons are from manila 2.6, which I hadn't seen. And further stated that he doesn't put anything in his roms that aren't stock.
