I actually ended up giving up because my carrier does not have a stock rom and my phone still has a locked spl on it. The understanding I have is that unless the stock rom has the correct carrier id then it will not load on locked phones, and since I cannot get into windows mobile to unlock the phone there seems to be nothing I can do. Thank you for your reply and congrats on fixing your phone.
