I bought PocketShield right after I tried it (about a month ago). While I am usually all over new versions and betas -- I think I might stick with 2.8 -- unfortunately, I saw this about the upcoming 3.0:

It's small. It's relatively insignificant. It's also something I got used to in the earlier versions that I won't be able to do anymore if I upgrade. Any background that has a point of focus/interest near the bottom of the image gets obstructed awkwardly in split view.
I am also not a big fan of notifications. I usually turn off everything under Windows Notiifications except small audible prompts. Many of the PocketShield improvements seem to be notification-related, and part of what I like so much about PS is how simple and barebones (and fast and stable) its notification handling is(was?). I always turn the booster off. Oh well. Upgrades aren't for everyone I guess.
I am glad most everyone is excited about the upgrade -- but I think I might have to hop off the train here and stay at the last station.
