Use PIMbackup without compression/encryption and send the backup to your computer. Change the extension of the file from ".pib" to ".zip". Open the zip file with your favorite zip program (I suggest WinRAR) and find the file named "msgs_XXXXXXXX.csm" with the X's being the date of the backup in YYYYMMDD format. Open the file and it will contain your texts. The texts are a bit garbled, but you can get what you need from them.
Edit: If I had
VB or VC# on this computer, I'd write up a quick program that could extract all the messages to make them easier to read.
