Totally not saying this condescendingly, but I custom build PC's so let me just try to see what you're saying. You're saying the GPS was built into the processor it's self? If that it what you are saying and my computer ( I know phones are little different) knowledge is right. The GPS would not be directly built into to the CPU but a separate hardware in the phone, you are a long the right tracks though. The GPS is probably a very CPU intensive hardware/software piece. Most likely these little CPU's really aren't built to what we make and want our hardware and software to run out. Thus the little fusses of technology! Cool?
