I'm pretty new to this myself but I'll try to help you out, you are wanting to go back to the stock ROM correct? If so then hard reset like you have just described and that will take you back to the bare bones energy ROM, then you reflash your stock ROM on your device, then hard reset again just to make sure everything took right and reload your info and any other cabs you might want to add. When you hard reset you are only going back to the bare bones ROM you have installed, so just doing a hard reset on the energy ROM will not take you back to stock, you have to reflash and if your taking your phone back for service than you had better relock it once you have the stock ROM on it.
