i completely agree... battery life could be better, but the cards say it all! I love waking my pre up and seeing 10 things i was doing earlier and going right back to where i left off! The capacitive touch screen w/multi touch is a pleasure to have.

sure the Pre lags a lil when you have 15 cards open, but the OS tells you to close some cards, which is also a good thing, so you flick away the little things you don't really need anymore.

I wouldn't get another blackberry unless my job said it was a must.

apps are just getting better and better too! ESPN Zoom is just like those touchscreen bar games (like photo-hunt) where you have to find the differences between 2 photos... seems like developers are actually listening to what people want. There is an app to put your favorite sports teams' games into your calendar so you don't have to go through the pain of doing it manually. I know those arent the most productive things i've just mentioned, but the whole point is to make the users experience Quick, Simple, and Fun, which in-turn produces more productivity.

If you're a big calendar person, the slinky-effect of your free time is not only eye-pleasing, but it makes using and viewing your calendar a breeze...

i could prolly go on and on about how the Pre is better in almost every way, but you'll never know until you get your hands on one.

as far as build quality: Its pretty sturdy IMO... the top part has a little wiggle, but that is completely normal for a sliding phone. The actual sliding movement sometimes catches a small divit and hickups a little, but it is in no way something to get upset about. First thing i did was buy an Invisible Shield by Zagg for the front (best investment so far). Reason i didn't get one for the back is cuz i dunno how it would react with the Touchstone charger i'm buying soon.
