I always found all manilla messiging to sux big time, even in manilla 2.5 beta I tried.
So I like it this way and feel lucky this rom is customized just like I want it.

Most older "manilla" cabs will not work, or break your manilla 2.1

I did not have this problem.. biggest battery saver is the EVDO connection time. It stays on after used, sooo...
Go into the "advance config" program. click bottom tab for "more settings", then goto connections, check box to set your data to disconnect in a min or two after use...

Also it is a good practice to Hard Reset.
I always hard reset BEFORE and AFTER a flash and never have any problems. Some users flash original rom to solve major problems but it is usually a customization problem.

Hey you two guys, dont forget that "Sashimi" & "UC" and other startup customization programs will "look" to put stuff that may not be compatible with this newer manilla & rom.
I always take out my memory card so that upon first install, the rom wont waste time looking at my card for extra installs.
Then after I use the rom for a while I will setup my customizations far that particular rom, so next time I can use a "Sashimi" or "UC".
